Dispose or recycle your old appliances

As per the new WEEE legislation, electronic goods have to be disposed of by specialist contractors. Many retailers offer a service to pick up large appliances and electrical items on a like for like basis,i.e. buy a new television and they will pick up your old one on delivery. The prices charged for this disposal service varies between shops.

Generally, the only condition for pick up for disposal of the appliance is that the appliance is disconnected, and in the case of fridges or freezers, also defrosted. In most instances, the pick up is arranged at the time of ordering the product and arranging the delivery time
